Our next big event is the 4th of July celebration held at the Old Enoch Park on Jones Lane. The day begins with the 5K-10K Freedom Run at 7:00am. Events throughout the day include vendors, food, mud mania for kids 2-12, a car show from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, Family Walk at 6:30. Free hot dogs at 7:00pm and FIREWORKS at dark.

Please pre-register for the 5K-10K and family Walk. The form can be downloaded below or come into the City Office to register/pay fee.

July 14th at 6:30pm the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing regarding amending the Annexation Policy Plan to change the southern annexation declaration line, the northern annexation declaration line and to amend the commercial zoning ordinance and sign ordinance for commercial signs.

July 15th at 6:00pm the City Council will hold a public hearing regarding adopting an impact fee for secondary irrigation water system.

2009 is an election year for Mayor (4 year term), two City Council seats (4 year term) and one City Council seat (2 year term).

Please register to vote online at ironcounty.net or pick up the form at the City office. Your voter registration must reflect your current address even if you have moved within the same precinct.
