Crews are 15% finished with the project. Here's a roundup of the project impacts and activities. This afternoon eastbound Midvalley Road will be opened and traffic will be flowing in a normal pattern. Starting Wednesday night, June 10, traffic control personnel implemented a traffic detour on westbound Midvalley Road at 600 East. Traffic will travel north to Churchfield Lane and then back to SR-130. This will allow for additional storm drain and utility upgrades and the completion of the temporary roundabout. Traffic on SR-130 near the new roundabout will be moving through a slight curve to the West giving additional space to crews working on westbound Midvalley Road. More excavation work will be intermittent on SR-130 as crews work on the shoulders of the road. Building the new northbound off-ramp at Exit 62 will be starting in the coming weeks. Remember to put your phone down, be alert and reduce your speed. Environmental crews have installed and will maintain environmental protections for the duration of the project. Crews are working from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The entire project is expected to be completed by the end of 2021*. *Schedule is subject to impacts from weather, supply-chain disruptions and other unforeseen circumstances. Enoch City Council requests your help by following this outdoor irrigation schedule:
Even house number = Monday, Wednesday, Friday Odd house number = Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. No irrigation on Sunday. Irrigate based upon suggestions found at https://conservewater.utah.gov/weekly-lawn-watering-guide/ Remember outside irrigation from Enoch City water system is prohibited between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm. New lawns are exempt until healthy for a reduction. Additional information is available at 435-586-1119 during regular business hours. May 3 - May 8: Early on Monday morning May 3, crews will change the traffic pattern on SR-130. There will be two work zones and traffic will be shifted to create the necessary space to perform the continued improvements of SR-130. Please slow down and stay in your designated lane. Crews will start working on the westside of SR-130 north of the 3000 N intersection. Old material will be removed and hauled away, utility lines will be relocated and new material placed to build the foundation for the expanded road. Utility crews continue to move and adjust current utility lines in and around the intersection of SR-130 and Midvalley Road. The different utility companies will be active in this area for the next few weeks. There will be no impacts to traffic. The building of the roundabout will start in May*.
Motorists will notice an increase in truck traffic along with other machinery necessary to complete the construction tasks. Put your phone down, be alert and reduce your speed. Environmental crews have installed and will maintain environmental protections for the duration of the project. Crews are working from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The entire project is expected to be completed by the end of 2021*. |
